Object ▣ Social distancing measures have been lifted in two years and a month, the Ministry of Education is actively pushing for a ‘transition to face-to-face classes under the basis of recovery of university Education and normal life’ as a part of back to the normal life after the post-Omicron’. ▣ Therefore, KMU intend to expand face-to-face education activities in order to prevent students’ learning, social and emotional deficits. By expanding face-to-face activities, we intend to encourage the recovery of education of KMU. ※ It may be readjusted depending on the COVID-19 situations and changes on plan of the Ministry of Education.
2. Plans ▣ Period : After May 4(Wed.) 2022 [After 10th week of the semester]
▣ Class Operation 1) All classes will be conducted face-to-face in principle, regardless of the type of class. 2) The ‘combined Class’, which provides with face-to-face and non-face-to-face classes at the same time, can be conducted under the approval of the dean of each colleges. ※ In the case of combined classes, online lectures can be approved only with ‘real-time online lectures’. 3) In case of ‘online class’ is required with inevitable reason, approval of Academic Affairs Team is mandatory after sufficient communication with students. When the request for online class is not approved, the classes should be conducted face-to-face.
▣ Final Exam 1) Final exams should be taken offline in principle. 2) Non-face-to-face evaluation must be allowed for those who can’t take exams face-to-face with confirmed cases, staying overseas, and there should be no disadvantage when grading based on face-to-face and non-face-to-face evaluation.
3. Principles for operation of face-to-face classes ▣ Instructors and students must follow the guidelines on COVID-19 Prevention such as wearing face masks, etc.
▣ Each college should establish and operate its own plan for quarantine management. 1) Must comply with quarantine guidelines such as wearing masks, providing hand sanitizers in the classroom, replacing microphone covers, refreshing the air frequently and etc. Each college is required to establish and operate its own plan. 2) It is advised to take a self-kit one time for those who has high-risk or illness, has COVID-19 symptoms when confiremd with COVID-19 cases in the face-to-face classes. 3) Check list for classroom
▣ Providing online classes for those who can’t attend the offline classes & Prohibitting discrimination against them 1) Providing online classes with online live lectures or with recorded lectures for those who can’t attend the offline classes due to their status staying overseas
2) It is not allowed to attend offline class for those confirmed cases. Those must report their confirmed cases to the instructors by K* Talk, e-mail, and etc. There should be no disadvantage in attendance. ※ The student should submit the ‘application form for attendance acknowledgement’ to their instructor and check whether the attendance is accounted or not. |
